    Dr. Corenman states under DDD that ” Epidural injections can be wonderful for severe onset of incapacitating symptoms.” That was directly in regards to Annular Tears. Beckett states that his MRI made particular note to an Annular Tear at L5.S1. You are correct gwccbc that epidurals do not work for everyone but for the vast majority they do. Steroids are wonder drugs for acute pain syndromes like Annular Tears

    I am going to get a bumper sticker that states “Nerves Love Steroids”. Maybe it should state “Nerves Hate Inflammation” but I do like to stay positive.

    Sorry for the delay but my new server has been sending forum responses to my spam folder. The problem should have been remedied.

    Your pain generator is still not diagnosed. The reading from the radiologist would be helpful but I always take these readings with a grain of salt. X-rays are also important including the flexion and extension views. If this individual can “walk his pain” under control, I would endorse this without reserve.
