Now a recurrent herniation can occur taking the patient right off the operative table but most occur within the first six weeks with BLT.

Is there a way I could’ve herniated from doing those bed exercises for couple days. My symptoms were aggravated more after the long drive at my 2 week follow up

Prolonged sitting while driving (increased vibration) can also cause a recurrent HNP but these recurrent HNPs can occur for no apparent cause.

How long should I wait till I request an MRI. I’m day 3 on prednisone. Should I stick it out till the 6 week mark or wait to see if my symptoms get worse once I’m off the steroids

In my opinion, finish your prednisone and see how much better your symptoms become. If they return to pre-prednisone levels and you are quite uncomfortable, then ask for a new MRI.
