It takes at least three months for a pars fracture to heal. You need to have patience.

My son going through growth spurs (growing 4 – 4,5 inch per year) for the past 2 years. Before he was growing less then 2 inch per. Anyway is it possible that fracture healing could be delay because of rapid growth?

    Thanks!

    –Eugene.

A growth spurt is a good sign for bone healing potential. This is beneficial for pars fracture healing as when an individual has maximized his or her growth, the ability to heal fractures diminishes.
