Having a two level TLIF 5 weeks ago and walking 3-4 miles per day at this point might be too much walking stress. Walking 1-2 miles a day cut into smaller segments will be less inflammatory and most likely less painful.
You might have some mild nerve irritation (burning pain in left buttocks) or this might be referral pain from the surgery. If this pain is significant, you might ask your surgeon if he or she would prescribe a short course of an oral steroid.
