These are the categories of “things that can go wrong” (pathologies) with the spine. They are separated into neck (cervical), mid-back (thoracic), lower back (lumbar), fractures and trauma and then other spinal conditions (miscellaneous). The section starts out with anatomy and then discusses the various problems that can occur in the particular area. The condition is then linked to potential surgeries that can help alleviate the symptoms.
