Thank you my good Dr. for your prompt response. :) I still have two more questions for you.

    1. Based on my clinical status post-op that I have described in my previous posts (unsteady gait, hyperreflexia etc etc. that are still present) is there by any chance to have an improved clinical outcome after the laminectomy?

    2. What will be the impact in the near future or long term if I decide to avoid the surgery and carry on with conservative treatment?

    Thanking you in advance.

Hi Dr. Corenman. Today I had my 6 month follow-up providing a new MRI and CT Scan to my Neurosurgeon as per his instructions. He concluded that the cervical cage and screws are in the right place and things are moving to the right direction. So far so good. However he noticed some stenosis on C4/5 without signs of Myelopathy and he suggested that we perform laminectomy to avoid any future myelopathies by creating more space for the spinal cord.

I would like to have your opinion on that matter. I have a screenshot of the mri but I do not know how to attach it here.

    Thanking you in advance.

I understand. Then I shall wait and see the outcome of physical therapy first.Just FYI I already have gait disturbance. My left leg locks especially when I try to walk faster than usual. So I end up walking like a robot πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€.

I will thank you πŸ˜€. My neurologist also suggested to have Botox on my legs to treat spasticity and gait unsteadiness created by my myelopathy condition.

Please note that I have tried baclofen and later clonazepam but I did not see any improvement.

What is your opinion for these injections?

Thank you Dr. for your prompt replies. Yes I’m referring to June 2021. I’m 3 months post op trying to retrain my gait habits πŸ˜€. I m also treated with clonazepam (baclofen was useless to me) for spasticity. If it doesn’t help my symptoms my last resort are Botox injections.
