in reply to: Loss of reflexes #27499

Not sure about the lower extremities, cannot recall having them tested before but I do know that my upper extremities were tested at each visit prior to surgery and were normal and if I recall correctly the PA tested upper extremities at the hospital the morning of my discharge and they were normal. No one had tested them at any follow up visits until recently after my PCP noted it on my physical.

    Thank you sir.

Thank you for your prompt reply, on the records I am dealing with 3 facilities who have all outsourced to different companies for records-have done more paperwork to get records than I did to have the surgery! LOL Did not mean to take up valuable forum time on a trivial side comment-again thanks for your prompt reply and advise!

    Have a good day.

Just to clarify getting my records from my providers here at home is not an easy task.

Thank you sir, as I am attempting to gather my records to send (which is not as easy as I thought….) my current practitioner has suggested a referral to a neurologist for possible botox injections to try and help with the bilateral trapezius swelling/hypertrophy/spasm/pain while I make a decision on how to proceed. Is this common? I have some concerns with the pseudoarthrosis & movement, if this is the right way to proceed. Thanks again!

One quick follow up if you don’t mind sir. Would the mild kyphosis and disc issue warrant the large surgery? Can I contact your office and pay for a phone consult after sending records? (Out of state) Thanks so much

Thank you sir. I asked also why so much and the answer I was given is that I had some disc dessication and bone spurring above and below and slight kyphosis. However the only compression showing on the scan is foraminal C4 and C/5 (where they did the corpectomy) and the osteophyte at c6/7 mentioned above. Thank you again for your prompt and helpful reply.
