“I can’t easily connect the lig flavum buckling to the head impact except to say it’s possible” if this not see in early MRI years after the trauma (so its very hard to say this happened in time of the injury .
buckling ligament also connection to degeneration of the disc (also loss disc high ) you can confirm this information that mechanically (question :loss high of the disc affect on the ligament flavun to buckling .?for example also if the ligament flavum buckling after cumulative time this is in general result off loss disc high and degeneration of the disc ?
for your what you see in my IMAGES i have arthritis in the neck ?
i have degeneration disc ?
if we take out the problem what “compression on the cord” (symptoms of gait i have not yet or falling this is not happened (just 2 times before 8 months )
but neck pain i have a lot of years after the injury what causes my chronic neck pain?
” I cannot connect your symptoms to your neck.” you mean to the symptoms of gait problem (normal gait in but weakness in lower and falling ?(Meni
in reply to: Myeomalcia (change signal in the cord) #35210but when you look to the MRI on the past also in neutral position supine the didn’t show any buckling of this ligamentum
” Maybe when you hit your head, this caused injury to the ligamentum” if you mean to the buckling of what see this was not see in MRI of 2016 (even 6 years after the injury ) so how can say this injury cause the ligament flavum to buckling
.when you take a injury of what happened to me ,and from your experience what this injury (head hit on a wall ) can do to cervical spine ?
thanksMeni
in reply to: Myeomalcia (change signal in the cord) #35206“There is some effacement of the cord” so you accepted that in the MRI last show some contact between the ligament flavum or else make a contact with the grey matter (this is you don’t call pressere on the cord and also does not call stenosis .
1.but what you have to say a bout that the images of past MRI doesn’t show any contact of the ligament flavum with the csf and the cord .
and in the past doesn’t was any issue with walking fast ,falling after severe weakness to some time and falling .
2.what is the mechanism cause the ligament flavum to buckling ?Meni
in reply to: Myeomalcia (change signal in the cord) #35204you know i was have in history trauma of head (and this affected on neck also ) .
now in the medical world the most common reason for problem with the legs and arms it is cervical stenosis ,average happen in people over 50-60 years at least .
now in my MRI last one we see very small area of buckling ligament flavum in the back of area of c3-4 level .
but when i m looked to the MRI view of the neck of 2016 or 2020 i don’t see any sign of buckling of ligament flavum . so i suspected that it is possible this little buckling of ligament flavum that statred to contact with spinal cord even this not pressere but make contact little to cord and contact with cord (cause the symptoms of impossible/hard to walking fast ,even falling two times after weakness in the lower limbs.
off course you have the experience of more 30 years spine surgeon ,and you see my images listen to my symptoms ,and with that information you conclusion that the images don’t support on the my symptoms .
1.what you have to say a bout that the images of past MRI don’t show any pressre of the ligament flavum ?
2.what is make the ligament flavum to buckling in cervical spine ?
thanks .Meni
in reply to: Myeomalcia (change signal in the cord) #35179ok.
but what a bout the weakness in the legs .
falling (it was also but in first time before 8 mounts and the falling come after severe weakness in legs )
but from January 2022 it is not happen again (but weaknesses havein legs ) numbness have from time to time (one time in week average but also new this very not unusual before in my life .
I do with u service of “long consult ” before a couple of months.

in reply to: Myeomalcia (change signal in the cord) #35171hello.
Dr. Corenman.
i know that i don’t write all introductions.
I m discussed with you before some months.
I was do A mri of the brain before SOME months and go to neurologic dr with result and he say me that : the MRI of brain and c spine does not show any neurologic problem ,he say and write that i have some positive test reflexes but he doesn’t found the reason to that .
current symptoms: it is some weakness in the legs but not drastic, and some times (from one time in two week one legs or two falling asleep” (tingling but very feel that and hard to move all legs for 10-30 second .
what do you think the reason for my symptoms and some positive reflexes .
thanks meniMeni
