Left side at the L5 level.that was about 5 years ago. I was told that artificial disc on L4 and L5 will help. But I’m looking for some other opinions. Unfortunately in Ontario they do not do disc replacement and because of the two failed microdiscectomy other doctors have said there’s nothing they can do for me. It’s very difficult to live with the pain.

    Thank you ,

I’ve tried the nerve block and didn’t get any positive results. The doctor that tried to do the procedure couldn’t get through the opening he tried for about an hour and he gave up nor did he report this to the doctor. The nurse had clarified this with us. I’ve also tried Physio and for the first three days I’m in quite a bit of pain.

What type of surgery would help to eleviate some of the pain. I already finding it difficult to stand and air for long periods of time. Sleeping is very painful

My activity level is limited. My pain levels are at 8-9 daily, walking causes severe pain and leg cramps

I constantly have a sharp pain that runs in my left leg accompanied with hip pain on the left, I use a walking aid because I get tired quickly and lean over to one side . The above info that I provided was from a recent mri that I had done in July.

I also have difficulty with sitting for a long period. I can’t get up and walk I need to stand for a bit and then move slowly
