Original Issues The following is what I first reported over 2 years ago.
Night sweats periodically
Skin feels like it is burning (on arms and hands)
Hands so stiff that sometime I can’t open them (as if they were locked in a clenched position)
Feelings of something crawling on my scalp, my face and even in my eyes, my legs, arms
Sometimes my lips, nose, eye or eyes feel like pins and needles (like they were asleep)
Sometimes I have flashes of light in the corners of my right eye
– but there are no lights that would cause this.
Sometimes the back of my head hurts like when you bump it – but I know I did not.
I turn my head and it feels like there are separate strands in my neck being pulled (usually on left side)
I think I have a grasp of something with my hand and for a bit it is okay and then stuff just falls out of my hand
Sometimes I will bend my head and I will get an electrical shock type feeling in my neck.
From time to time my tongue feels thick and I have difficulty speaking
Extreme fatigue from time to time – lasts for days and then goes away
When I go to climb a step ladder if I use my right leg I can’t do it – it is as if my leg isn’t getting the signal – this seems to have stopped but there was a time seriously in 2012 I had to lift my leg to get it going. At one time I went to lift a 4 litre jug of milk with my left arm – something I normally have no problems with on either arm, but for a couple of weeks this would not work – right arm was ok.
Mood swings
Cognitive function seems poor from time to time – Since stopping Statins – this issue seems to have almost disappeared. Stopped statins 2012.
The Continuing Saga as at September 2013 – some of this may be duplicated from above.
I am now seeing a Physiotherapist who practises Myofascial Release. I have been seeing her since the beginning of August. The area she has been working on is mostly my upper back and neck, including traction on my neck and stim.
Issues I am still having:
1) Very tight muscles in the back. My neck has movement my muscles in my back seem to not want to release. Suggests neuromuscular rather than physical.
2) Muscle spasm in hands and left leg (sometimes right leg too)so badly that at times I need to pull my hands open. There are times when my wrist bends over from the muscle spasm. I still have muscle weakness at times in my arms and legs.
3) I am still suffering pins and needles in my hands, face, scalp and neck.
4) My ankles (this is the next area for Physio) feel so tight – like they are encased in cement even though I try and do the ankle rotating exercises this just brings on muscle spasms.
5) If I grab my left foot – it spasms and is very painful. This can happen day or night, in bed not in bed.
6) My joints ache at times and my middle finger on my right hand has developed a bulge at the knuckle.
7) At times my face is so bad that my tongue, eye or eyes, nose, chin and lips tingle. My eye tears and it just feels weird. We all thought at one time this might be Bell’s Palsy well if it is then it goes away when Physio works on my neck and shoulders and sometimes when Physio works on my neck and shoulders it brings this on, and sometimes it just starts all on its own and goes away on its own. Nerves are aggravated.
8) My left hand trembles at times, not all the time. September 18, 2013 both hands trembling
9) I have thumping pulses in my arms, abdomen and other various places.
10) Sometimes when I twist it feels like my rib cage goes into a very painful spasm
11) My left calf is smaller than my right – something that was noted at Physio – I have no idea how long this has been like this or if it always has.
September 2013
Dr. Hooker at RJH Emerg.
Went to Emerg at RJ because I could hardly see out of one eye and just felt strange.
As at September 19, 2013 my right shoulder is very tender and right arm feels like it has been scalded. When this happens (either arm) I then have arm pain and muscles seem to stiffen.
I have had an MRI for MS and it was negative
