Last question, about 3 years prior to my mixrodiscectomy I had a nucleoplaty (they drilled out some of the nucleus) and this worked for about 3 years until a reherniation leading to my second surgery. Do you think another disc decompression as opposed to a second microdiscectomy? Or do you think it will only result in a recurrent herniation more so than a microdiscectomy? I just know the recover of my nucleoplasty was much easier and would be beneficial during school as I am in senior level classes and prepping for the MCAT.
