if your number 1 goal is to run again, you’re going to need a fusion using a TLIF or an ALIF.the cage used during the fusion is not that important. It is simply a spacer. It is the graft material placed in the disc space that’s very important. I would recommend BMP.( bone morphogenetic protein) once you have a solid fusion your cage does not matter.
