I have a program called a “long distance consultation”. For a fee, you fill out my information packet like any in-person new patient. You then send all your images and any consultations that you might have. I personally call, take a history and ask previous treatment questions. There are some physical examination tests that you can self-perform (while I’m on the phone, of course) and then I can generally come to a conclusion. I then give some direction as to what you should consider.
This is unfortunately not a doctor-patient relationship as I can’t see you face-to-face so my recommendations are suggestions. Without a doctor-patient relationship, I cannot prescribe any diagnostic tests, treatments or medications. My recommendations however can be carried out by your family physician if he or she agrees with the suggestions.
This long distance consultation can commonly lead to a new patient visit if necessary (you need a better diagnosis than you have now or you desire surgery here at Vail Valley Medical Center with me). Please call the office at (970) 476-1100 if you have interest.
