Wow, I thought that it would take around a year to get over a microdiscetomy. So what are the guide lines for recovery like with a microdiscetomy or discectomy on my l3? Just for fun I also have a torn labrum but that will definitely have to wait to after babies. I was a gymnast and dancer. I have had two other ortho surgeries and their recovery were very long. One was the mumford for left shoulder and that took 2 years (had complications) and the other was a sternumclaviacal reconstruction, so I am not a fast recovery type person.
