Please tell me which nerve is causing my numb feet? Neurosurgeons say it isn’t spine. Although one Ombudsman neurosurgeon says it is. I have semi numb feet – both feet, worse on left. I have had foot drop one day which went away with rest. I feels like there is a steel plate stuck to the bottom of my feet, at other times my feet feel like lumps of stone. I have almost lost ability to push up from squatting down. Reflexes have gone from feet. At times I have no pulse in feet. I have hardening of arteries in lower legs and feet. Please see your facebook messages for nerve conduction study report from me. I had a fall years ago and landed on my knee, since then it has large lump on front, and I have large swelling/lump in bottom of calf. Dr’s say oh it’s just fat, but I wonder if it’s compressing nerves? When I walk downstairs my left knee almost feels to dislocate. If I squat down when I stand up my feet stay curled up and unravel slowly…why? What is causing all this? It is agony! I have degenerative disc disease and herniated discs in lumbar and cervical spine. Thank you.

You don;t note your age or past medical history (diabetes?), so my assumption is probable idiopathic peripheral neuropathy (see https://neckandback.com/conditions/peripheral-neuropathy/). It is possible but unlikely that this is from spinal stenosis (see https://neckandback.com/conditions/lumbar-spinal-stenosis-central-stenosis/).
