Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.

I had back pain, sometimes at the top, sometimes in the middle, sometimes on the side of my back in the middle.

I went to see the doctor who prescribed muscle relaxers. nothing has changed.

He then asked me to do an MRI of the dorsal region. no results on the mri, everything is normal except a medial dorsal disc herniation of 3mm d6-d7. the doctor tells me that it is too small and therefore does not compress the spinal cord.
He tells me that it is asymptomatic and was discovered because we are looking for the mri in this area but that it is not the reason for my back pain.

Firstly, I would like to know if it is true that this 3mm medial d6 d7 hernia is too small to compress the spinal cord and therefore be sure that the spinal cord is not compressed?

Secondly , I would like to have your opinion because the doctors tell me that it is asymptomatic but I still have back pain and the impression of having some tingling but very rarely in one foot then in the other.

I would like to add that my back pain is present when I am sitting, standing, lying down but especially when I am sitting.

    Thank you for your feedback.
