9 months ago I had an anterior cervical discetomy at C5-6 and C6-7. This surgery happened 1 year after a formaninatomy since pain, numbness, and tingling increased in intensity from prior to the formatinotimy. My recovery after the ACDF was great at first with rare pain that ibprofren would wisk away. Then about 8 months post op the pain, numbness, tingling, awful shoulder blade pain, and an intense burning feeling increased severley in intensity. I went from ibprofren to tylenol 3, to norco and now we have added back gabapentin and a round of steroids in hope it was inflammation. He wanted an xray so I had that done yesterday. 4 screws were used, but 1 is not flush and clearly sticking out. The tip of the screw sticking out is going straight into the middle of my spine location while the other 3 hover towards the sides/further out of the center of the spine. My question is…. Is it common for this to happen and could this be the source of my symptoms?
