Pain clinic Dr told me I have Posterior bulging discs in neck and lumbar, the reason they won’t operate is because they are unable to get to them. Is this right? Can posterior bulges not be operated on? My neck is causing me lots of serious trouble, like if I do much at all, say housework, involving bending like hoovering, making beds, I end up very dizzy, and unable to stand, I have to go to bed or be propped up on a chair to sleep until inflammation settles.

You can get to any disc bulge surgically but the real question is what is causing your pain? Spinal pain almost always has a “pain generator”, a disc, nerve or facet that causes pain. Now, you may not be a surgical candidate as most disc “bulges” are not surgical but need to be treated with rehabilitation, medications, injections and activity modification.

Pain is not the worst symptom, faintness and dizziness is. I have positional dizziness/faintness, so is that the posterior disc bulges pressing on my spinal cord when I lie in certain positions, making me nearly faint?
