    One more quick question…

What could be causing my neck to be so tight and my experiencing knife sharp pains with turning my head the slightest bit? I am being told this is normal for a triple level fusion and to be patient. It could be a year or longer before it gets better but it does not seem logical. I had to file for federal disability retirement last week. This injury sidelined my 38 year career in nursing.

The chiropractor did say that the C5-6 anterolisthesis was “off the charts” when he viewed my new X-rays. How could he know that by looking at a vertebra that had been surgical corrected. He also said the the spurs at that level had been significant too.

I would have to see your films and talk with you at length to answer those questions.

    Hi Dr. Corenman,

I hope to have a phone consult with you soon. Completing the paperwork now. I wanted to say that I am having severe pain to my T1-T5 area. I have several herniations. What pains me the most is the c7-T1. It feel like I am tear the meat off the bones when I use my arms or turn my head. I reached down and picked up a sock off the floor very carefully and the pain almost put me in the floor. I had severe edema between my shoulder blades for 2 weeks. I have had a new CT, X-ray, and MRI. I also found that I have a right vertebral artery lying across the hemi ventral aspect of my medulla. I see that this is rare. That is where all of the crazy symptoms were coming from. They had gone away for aa shirt time until I reached for that darn sock. It also looks like I had a small bleed in my basal ganglia when I twisted my neck. Hope to speak with you soon.

Base of brain bleeds typically cause headaches and dizziness along with other skull based symptoms. Cervico-thoracic pain typically originates from C4-T1 disc problems. Will talk to you soon.
