Could encroachment of things in spine cause Positional Dizziness at all please? I am unable to lie flat or on right side, 22 years ago they said it could be BPPV but I had no Nystagmus, they wanted to do furher tests but I couldn’t bear to have them due to extreme dizziness.
I have encroachment of exit foramina bilaterally, could that cause the dizziness? I also have mild indentation of thecal sac could that do anything?
    Thank you.

There is a very rare syndrome called Bow Hunter’s Syndrome where a spur or instability occurs normally at the C1-2 level. Rotation of the head causes vertebral artery impingement and dizziness/lightheadedness. I have to emphasize that this is very rare so don’t expect a physician to work this up. Bone spurs in the foramen will not cause this condition unless the vertebral artery is compressed which is again, very rare.
