Dear Dr. Corenman,
I was wondering if I could get your help with my thoracic MRI report – I’m not sure what the radiographer is saying here:
“There is slight anterior height reduction of T7 vertebral body, which is showing oval T1W, T2W signal change / lesion in its posterior/superior aspect on the left, with corresponding subtle increased signal on STIR sequence (ID 7, 8, 10 image 8 of 13) – ? any red flags. This requires strong clinical correlation and comparison with any previous imaging if available in the first instance. If clinically warranted a bone scan would be helpful for further evaluation.”
I mean I get the gist of it – in essence “something” is showing up around the T7 vertebra that warrants further investigation, but what exactly does it mean?
Many thanks in advance for your help,
Kind regards,
Dennis
