I have had sine issues in the past (you fused c5-c7 a few years ago). Now I’m have lower back pain accompanied by numbness and some discomfort down my right leg – specifically on the outside/side of my thigh. Do these sound related and is it something to have looked at?

The same genetics that initially caused your neck disorder of course could cause lumbar spine problems. If the symptoms are impairing, certainly they need to be looked after. If however these symptoms are mildly annoying and you can live with them, you don’t need to seek treatment.
