    Hi,

I had discectomy twice last year.

Currently I am still having leg discomfort when I don’t move. Leg goes to sleep while sitting and laying bed. Walking and standing no problem. I find movement is the most comfortable for me.

    What wrong with me?

I am having those leg issues more than a year. I can’t sleeping and I have to move around. When I move my left leg than is ok not issues.

The muscle are tight too when I don’t move. The problem for me now is at rest.

I really need your advice. I am.from Malaysia and many doctor are not sure what is going on to me.

Leg pain with sitting typically is caused by a disc herniation. Since you have had 2 prior disc surgeries, I would assume you have a recurrent disc herniaton but other disorders can also cause your symptoms. A new MRI with gadolinium would be in order in my opinion.

Radiofrequency ablations (RFA) or rhizotomies are designed to destroy the medial branch of the exiting spinal nerve. This nerve supplies the facet and small muscles of the back of the spine. If the facet is a pain generator, ablation (destruction) of this small nerve will interrupt the pain signal that eminates from the facet.

This procedure is not designed to relieve leg pain. Leg pain typically occurs from spinal nerve compression so you can understand that deinnervating the facet (disconnecting the facet nerve) will not relieve leg pain.
