A couple of posts back on this thread you wrote:“The inversion table is essentially a traction table. When you are “2/3 of the way” upside-down, you have 100 pounds of traction force on your lower back.”
What is the weight on the cervical spine if any???
How would it compare to the type you hang on the door and fill the water bag with 12-15lbs of water???

Hanging upside down will cause traction on your neck due to the 15 pound bowling ball attached. Almost the same as a water bag over-the-door traction device. The difference is that the water bag device can be directed to pull forward (flexion) or backwards (extension).

Is there anything I can do before surgery outside of walking so I can get a head start…?
Perhaps, if I were to activate these muscles now, maybe I can avoid surgery. Thankfully, I really haven’t had much pain lately. As long as I am wearing the brace I can do almost everything I want with brace on (within reason, of course)

What are best exercises to rebuild (abdominal wall muscles and lower back extensor muscles) ??

You can always work on isometric exercises no matter how unstable your spine is. Isometrics simply activate (contract) two opposing muscles so there is no net motion of the joint or area you are contracting. An example would be the elbow. If you contracted both the biceps and triceps muscles at the same time with equal force, the elbow would not move but both sets of muscles would gain exercise.
I cannot tell you if any exercises would solve your problem but more likely than not- no.

On that over the door traction water bag which can be filled to 20+ pounds. Weights can be hung in place of the water bag.So what would you consider the ideal weight for cervical traction???
What is the maximum weight you would consider safe???Thanks
