Mat and Upright therapeutic Exercise Program is not a program I am aware of. If it is designed to strengthen the core muscles and educate the patient in regards to proper body mechanics with lifting, I am all for it. The exercises have to be progressive (increasing the reps, stress and difficulty as the patient demonstrates greater adaptability) and start slowly.
