    Hello,
I’m 22, athletic and i have been suffering from neck pain that comes and go sometimes for 4 months, it makes me feel uncomfortable to sit and i made an xray and the doctor told me it’s fine and it’s just a muscle spasms and gave me some meds but the pain was still there so i went to other doctor who assured that my xray is completely normal and refereed me to a physical therapist and after 3 times i felt better so i stopped going!

but when the pain came back again i went to a new doctor hoping for an answer why i get this pain?! he saw the xray and told me that i have degenerative between c4 and c5!

so i just thought that it would be better if i go to an osteopath to get things clear since i have got different opinions and i did so i showed the osteopath the xray and told her more about my medical history that i suffer from TMJ and migraines for a few years but my neck didn’t hurt me before at all! so she kept checking me and then she told me that the real problem comes from my TMJ which effected my neck muscles and even my shoulders and kinda messed up my posture! and she told me that i have no degenerative it’s just a chronic spasms that affected several different muscles in my body which may make it looks like degenerative and so now it has been two weeks she’s working to loosen up my muscles first and then fixing my posture!

and i used to hear a sound in my neck that comes sometimes when i tilt my head back it’s not painful or anything but when i told my osteopath about it, she assured me that all that noise is gonna go away after fixing my posture.

so what do you think doctor about all of that? your opinion is really important to me.

and by the way i had no trauma to my neck or anything just this pain came from no where while sitting at my computer and i don’t feel it when i workout or while running!

You are finding out that the professional knowledge of the causes of spinal disorders is limited and there are many “opinions” of the source of spine pain.

I would have to see images and examination findings along with symptoms to come to a speculative conclusion of the causes of your spine pain.
