Hello
Thank you for letting me ask a question. I’ve had 4 lower back surgeries since 1999. 1st was diskorectomy L4/L5. That surgeon missed the disk split in half at L5/S1 so after 3 years of being in pain and very painful diskogram.fusion was done at L5/s1. Woke up even worse condition, 1 year later screws were removed, for damage from top end if screws touching nerves, muscle. Now years later I have lost all feeling in my legs, outer side of right leg feels dead, but the burning going down that leg us well felt. I can’t handle the electricity feeling shooting down my legs, extreme burning, and numbness. My m ri is tommarrow to see what’s wrong now. My question is, has fusion come further in technology since 2003? Why are my legs numb and electric , and burning? I’m scared I’ll lay in bed for years trying to recover for the 5th time. Can you tell me there is hope ahead in new technology? Thank you Tracii, Gillette Wyoming
