    dr corenman thank you very much for your reply.
    You said that for the Isolated Disc Resorption, surgery is possible.What are the signs that will warn me that i need surgery? Is there other alternative to fusion?

    Isolate disc resorption (IDR) may or may not cause pain. If this condition is painful, surgery depends upon how severe the pain is, how long you have had it, if you have failed conservative care and if a work-up indicates that this IDR condition is the main pain generator. If all of these conditions are satisfied, a fusion will be very helpful. You don’t have to consider a fusion if you could live with or modify pain with any other modalities.
