I had a 2 level lumbar fusion 10 days ago(L4-S1) and I am slowly getting better. My staples are still in, but while the bottom of my scar is flat, the top 1/4 is a giant bulge. Is this normal and will it eventually flatten out?

This “bunching” will eventually flatten out. It might take 2-3 months. Once the scar is healed, you can have genitle skin mobilization techniques by your physical therapist to help hasten the process.
