I have son aged 14, has a congenital hemi-vertebrae at C4 and cervico-thoracic scoliosis since his birth.
At his birth, we consulted with the spine surgeon and was told that this is not going to be a big issue as he would balance himself as the time goes.
Now, few months back he started to complain about the pain in the shoulder and neck. We consulted again the spine surgeon and he was of the opinion that my son needs to be operated as soon as possible.
Instead, we consulted another surgeon for the 2nd opinion and we were told that the surgery is too much of a rusk for the c4 and survival rate is not good for this kind of surgery. Also, my son should not be having the surgery at all as he would be Ok without it.
We have all the medical reports as well the MRI and CT Scan done and like to know as to how we can get your opinion. Also, needed to know if we can send you the x-rays and reports via an email.
    expecting your prompt comments.

I gladly answer all questions on this forum for free. If you would like a personal consultation where I have you fill out my initial new patient form, review all the images you send me and discuss your case on the phone with you in an extensive interview (called a long-distance consultation), there would be a fee. You can get this information from my office manager Lori Fugate by calling her at 888 888-5310.
