Hi Dr. Corenman, my MRI report says…
I have c5c6 disc osteophytes complex and broad base disc buldging causing moderate spinal canal stenosis with bilateral uncovertebral joint arthrosis leading to severe right neural foramina stenosis. I have multi levels DDD more prominent at c5c6. I’m experiencing horrible neck pain, constant burning feeling, headaches on the right side, shoulder AC pain, scapula, shoulder blade, lats, deltoid, elbow and hand pain but no nerve entrapment. My last consultation i was told i’m too young for surgery (48yr)But Im in pain everyday I have no quality of life I went from running marathons to only walking on good days… Im scheduled to have nerve ablation March 1.. i’m a dental
hygienist for public health i’ve been off work bc of all this pain often taking opioids and attending pain management clinic. I just want to get fixed and get back to work. All the injections i received from pain management haven’t worked so i’m at the ablation stage. I’m lost for treatment not sure if I can hurt myself more if I go through with the ablation. Would the ablation get rid of the headaches? i had occipital injections which didn’t not work for very long. Also if i have arthritis in my neck can I still have an ablation? i was also diagnosed last month with inflammatory arthritis and Finromalgia and along with 3 yrs of chronic pain now diagnosed with severe depression. I’m so lost I don’t know what to do. I hope to hear from you. Thank you.You need to be more specific regarding your symptoms and a surgeon who can give you direction.
