    hi dr, i also have calcaneal bursitis on my r/ankle pain dr said is due to over use, while i use my r/foot to lead when walking due to numbness weakness on l/leg wich i have left l/5 radiculopathy since 9/12/12 . the bursitis started 3/13 i have had 3 asperations 1 lidocain inj. no relief 12/18/13 another asperation corticosteriod inj,iwear a brace wich keeps my foot stable but i still cannot flex the ankle when using stairs, will this go away on its own or will i have to get asperated for ever? with my osteoparosis of the spine is it safe to keep getting corticosteriod injs wich my surgeon gave me a script for my cervica l/trigger point inj.

    Foot disorders can be generated by compensation for spinal disorders. These disorders may be caused by overuse syndrome (putting abnormal pressure on the non-painful leg) or by compensating for painful pressure on the painful leg.

    These are disorders that need to be treated by the respective specialist which is in your case, a foot and ankle specialist orthopedist.

    I cannot comment on the need for injections without much further information regarding your spinal disorder.
