You are in a situation that has no direct answer. In general, I am not a fan of lumbar artificial discs due to the stress and failure rate of these discs. When they do fail, revision is very difficult as another incision has to be made in the belly and scar makes mobilizing the great vessels somewhat dangerous.
I am also reluctant to recommend a three level fusion for the lumbar spine unless the circumstances warrant it. If you have severe incapacitating lower back pain that can be demonstrated to originate from the lower discs, understand and accept the restrictions inherent to a three level fusion, then this could be an indicated procedure.
The M6 disc is not much different than any other metal/plastic disc combination. This disc allows motion but not shock absorption.
