I have been suffering from ongoing back pain for 6 months now. The pain developed very slowly over a month, then i suddenly awoke in absolute agony, sore stomachs, chronic pain in left side of thoracic area, beside my shoulder blade. Was told i had a torn ligament connecting my 6th rib to spine, this is an assumption due to a 2mm raise in my 6th rib. I have had MRI, xray, ultrasound, physio, osteopath, acupuncture, pilataes, cortizone injection and NOTHING IS WORKING! I have exhausted all my options and no one seems to care anymore as there is nothing visible. It hurts to sleep on my side, it hurts to sit in ANY position. After my cortizone injection the pain subsided slightly for a couple of days at a time, then continued to come back. I have had some nerve issues in my left arm also, which sends shooting pains down my arm. I don’t know what to do now, I work in childcare which is good cause i don’t have to sit in an office all day, but i am not able to lift or bend without paying for it later. There must be something wrong, is there anything that doesn’t show up in MRI’s that could be the reason for this??
PLEASE HELP!!!
There is a condition called Scheuermann’s disorder that can be commonly missed if the physician does not look for it (see website). This condition is characterized by some relief with extension (bending backwards). Please send your films to the office. Call the 888 number on the home page.
