At the end of January, I had a lumbar microdiscectomy for lower back pain, tingling, and numbness in both legs and buttocks. Two weeks ago, I began having the pain again. I got an MRI two weeks ago for an unrelated problem (fasciculations in legs which my neurologist was concerned might be some sort of motor neuron disorder), and when I got the results back, I got this unhappy surprise. What appears to be at least one (or possibly multiple) thoracic disc herniations. Unfortunately, I am not a doctor, and my follow-up appointment with my neurologist is not for another month, and I’m wondering what Dr. Corenman thinks of the MRI. I understand that Dr. Corenman’s reply would only be for educational purposes, but it would be nice to hear his thoughts as I wait for my appointment.

I have to take a long plane ride in two weeks and now I’m wondering if that would be a very bad idea with possible back problems.

For some reason, I’m not being allowed to copy the link to the image.

The image is at Imgur, and the picture file’s names are:
