Peripheral Neuropathy is a condition where the actual nerve itself is sick and sends abnormal signals to the brain (normally found in the legs). It normally starts with the longest nerves in the body which originate in the lower back and go down to the feet. This condition is normally associated with symmetrical symptoms and burning is onw of the hallmark symptoms. Most individuals with this have symptoms that increase at night.
