Over 3 years ago I suffered from a T12 compression fracture. my dr at the time gave me painkillers and i went to physical therapy for 3 months initially with minimal results. he also found that my spine no longer has the S-curve that it had before the accident. Currently I still have severe lower back pain after sitting for any period of time. also, within the past week after standing up, when i begin to walk i get sharp pains at the bottom of my back. any treatments for this?

Fractures of T12 can be benign and cause no problems after healing or can cause havoc due to the deformity or compression of nerves. The angulation of the fracture can change the alignment of the spine and increase pressure on the vertebra above and below. You should obtain a spine consult from a good spine surgeon.
