is there any type of exercise to help with range of motion and to help strengthen that is safe to do when you have neck issues? I am trying my best to avoid surgery and dont want to hurt myself further. Last MRI states

Posterior disc protrusions are seen at c3-4, c4-5, c5-6 and c6-7 levels impinging upon the thecal sac and causing mild to moderate spinal canal stenosis. c3-4 some neuroforaminal encroachment bilaterally secondary to facet joint and uncinate process hypertrophy. c4-5 slight encroachement upon the anterior aspect of spinal cord is present. some neuralforaminal narrowing is noted bilaterally related to facet joint and uncinate process hypertrophy.

Thank you very much for your time to respond to those of us who suffer and are looking for answers and support, it is appreciated.

I can give you general suggestions for exercise but it depends upon your actual history and physical examination. Check the website under the header “Pre and Post Op”- then “Post Operative Rehabilitation” and under that- “Neck Exercises”. The exercises “Around the Worlds” and “Yes- No” and designed for post operative patients and should be safe for sensitive necks. “Neck Situp” should only be used for stronger patients with more stable necks.
