Sir, is it possible to stretch a nerve? Is there such a thing?

Last year when my right arm stopped working A&E did a mri scan which showed compressed nerves in my cervical spine. They sent me to a Neurosurgeon who did nothing but just said these things have a habit of fixing themselves so just leave it and wait. Weeks later when I went back to him and my arm was regaining use slowly, my Neurosurgeon told me, “Oh you probably stretched a nerve”, even though mri scan showed that I had compressed nerves.

    Thank you.

Nerve stretch injuries can occur but if you have a dysfunctioning nerve that is compressed, my first thought is always to the compression that is causing nerve malfunction and injury.

Well, after I had a mri scan that showed c6, c7 nerve compression and severe Stenosis, then my Neurosurgeon writes on his report No nerve compression in her spine and no Stenosis I think I need a solicitor!
I have complained to the hospital and they just say 7 Neurosurgeons looked at my scan at a meeting and they all agreed there is nothing surgery can help with in my spine.
Well, I feel like sending them all a pair of new spectacles/glasses and asking them if they can read? Haha!!
They seem hopeless. I feel they are lying. Horrible to say but that’s how I feel.
