Hi! So happy that i found this community forum. I am in desperate need of some help and advice.
Just to be clear, I have had 2 spinal fusions- one lumbar and one cervical- years ago. I have been experiencing severe lower back pain and weakness that has almost driven me crazy.
I had a lumbar MRI done back in 2018, but never moved forward with any additional treatment.
Here is the major findings from the MRI report:
    Canal and Foramina:
“L1-L2: There is now an 8 mm left paracentral anterior extradural soft tissue lesion extending from the disc space cephalad likely representing a superiorly extruded herniation fragment. The thecal sac adjacently is deformed with impingement upon neurologic structures within the lateral recess. There is also potential for impingement upon the small portion of the exiting nerve root as it enters the neural foramen. The right neural foramen and spinal canal proper are acceptably patent.”
Can anyone give me any guidance as to what the doctors might want to do about this? What would need to be done to correct this?
Also to note- I recently had a bad accident two weeks ago that really, seriously made my back much worse. At this point I’m not able to do a straight leg lift, go up stairs, bend over, or even turn side to side.
Any help would be so greatly appreciated!
