Hello Dr. I have wrote you in the past and I credit you with listening to my problem and mentioning hyper kyphosis. The reason I am again writing is that yes my 4 week thoracic laminection and fusion of T4-T10 connecgting in to my existing S1-T10 has relieved my constant mid back radiating rib pain. However, I’m wondering how in the world my orthopedic surgeon that I kept telling hey I have mid-back pain for 2.5 years did not find this problem????? When I research the words from my operation that says the pseudarthrosis I am so thankful I had a wonderful neurosurgeon this time. All my old ortho surgeon offered was for me to work with a PM doc and contine epidural injections that gave me zero pain relief. Seems the CT I had in Jan 2021 ordered by Dr. at OSU Wexner Medical knew what he was looking for. I will now tell family and friends to not use an orthosurgeon but seek out a skilled neurosurgeon!!!!
PREOPERATIVE DIAGNOSES:
1. Thoracic pseudoarthrosis.
2. Hardware failure.
3. Back pain.
4. Kyphosis.POSTOPERATIVE DIAGNOSES:
1. Thoracic pseudoarthrosis.
2. Hardware failure.
3. Back pain.
4. Kyphosis.Your orthopaedic surgeon for some reason did not focus on your kyphosis problem. This is not a reflection on spine surgeons vs. neurosurgeons as I have seen problems in both fields.
