    Hello,

I am a 26 year old male patient recently diagnosed with cervical spondylosis with impression of mild disc degeneration at C3-C4 and C4-C5.

I experienced a sharp pain around the right shoulder and right scapula at times and it becomes difficult for me to manage the pain.

Kindly suggest if there are any specific treatments or exercises to resolve my condition or do I need to undergo any kind of surgery.

    Thanks diwakar

Sharp pains around the shoulder and scapulae could originate from the neck or the shoulder. You would have to have cervical foraminal stenosis (narrowing of the nerve exit) to have the neck implicated. You do not note that disorder from the MRI reading. This could be rotator cuff impingement syndrome. See https://neckandback.com/conditions/rotator-cuff-syndrome-shoulder-impingement-syndrome/.

Diagnosis is the first order of the day. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, treatment can ensue.
