I had a anterior and posterior cervical C5-C7 fusion last June 2014. I have an indentation in my spine where you can feel my bones and hardware from the fusion. My NS seems to think that it’s from the stitches not holding following the fusion leaving this fascia muscle tear along my spine. Has anyone ever gone through this and insurance company denied request for surgery. I have has epidurals, scans, therapy and on enough medication trying control pain. Pain worse now then before surgery last year.

You have to identify the pain generator before you consider a repair of the separated fascia. It is true that the fascia has dehisced (separated) if you can feel the instrumentation under the skin. This might not be what is causing your pain. You need a full work-up to determine what your pain generators are.
