Hi Dr. Corenman,
I am now in PT and doing neck exercises to build up the muscles and correct my posture. I have been getting a sharp pain when I turn my head a certain way in the big muscle in my neck and in the back of my head a bit. It doesn’t stay.
2nd visit and now I have a bad headache. It lasted 3 days. She pressed real hard on the top of my shoulders.
update May 20th….The last 3 days no pain at all. Sure hope it lasts.
My range of motion before surgery was only 25 degrees and now it is 12 degrees. Not worrying about driving as I am close to everything.
thanks carolnsGive yourself some time to accomodate to the new neck. The muscles have to adapt to this and it is not uncommon to take up to six months to feel normal after your surgery.
