I am 28 years old male.i have lower back pain typically left side over buttock from 6 months.Pain is dull ache present most of the time near center , toward left side but is increased during walking and standing. As i move my legs for walking i feel pain only left lower back.
6 MONTHS ago when pain started i was sitting and stuyding for exams.
sometimes its severe due to more standing ,sometimes that severe i can not even stand for half an hour or walk for shopping.
not radiating to leg only buttock,no numbness.

I still do not know the cause.I have to do MRI STILL.i went to chiropractic and diagnosed as sacroilliac joint pain with muscle spasm.
Kindly guide me whats the most probable cause and what should i do as its affecting my everyday activity
    thanks

Buttocks pain that increases with standing and walking could be facet generated, foraminal stenosis and occasionally disc related. Sacroiliac generated pain is a rare event.

The first thing to do is to get into a rehabilitation program with core strengthening exercises. This program can be guided by a knowledgeable chiropractor or a physical therapist. If you don’t have some relief, then an MRI and X-rays would be the next step. I assume your examination did not demonstrate any motor weakness.

I have shown to spine dr at my place.did MRI also.He diagnosed it as degenrative disc disease with focal disc prolapse at L4 and L5.
He just advised me as you said strengthining exercises and over the counter pain medication.Fuethermore he said in MRI my back is straight that puts extra pressure on my muscles.
Just need advise as my pain is untolerable and suffering from 6 months.
I am unable to stand or walk even for half an hour.
    Need your advise
    thanks

Ask you physician if he or she would consider using spinal injections like epidurals. These might help with your pain. Also see the section on medications. Ask if any of these might be helpful.
