    Hi,

Not sure what is going on but experiencing a lot of soreness and discomfort on the back. Fine when I’m up and walking and all. I can feel it mainly when sitting and my back leaning against a chair. Sometime it is at the mid to upper part of back and sometime around the lower back. A slight burn back there sometimes from back being irritated when I am sitting and back again the back of a chair seat. Not sure if its due from lifting weights or running or what really. Any ideas?

I don’t have the nerve pain symptoms like i had prior to surgery 1 year ago. But more discomfort of upper spine when in a seated posion with my back against a chair. Mostly in my car or at work. I also get soreness around sugical area with light burbibg at that area at time and a small ache st surgical area from time to time.

What do you make of this? For niw i ice and heat tbe area and taking ib profin.

Your symptoms simply could be from the disc settling. You have no unilateral buttock or leg pain so a recurrent disc herniation is less likely. You pain is above or at the level of the prior herniation which makes it either disc pain or muscle deconditioning. I am sure at this point your incision is OK as it is highly unlikely that you have an infection at such a delayed point. Get into a good rehab physical therapy program.
