How long have I got before I die?
I have Stenosis neck and lumbar, how long before it kills me? I have electric shock pains, no bladder control ,near faints, tight muscles, leg and arm, hand weakness.
    Thanks

If you have myelopathy (cord compression causing dysfunction), this generally won’t kill you but will cause your life to be functionally hard. You should seek surgical help if you know you have this condition.

I got told it could kill me, due to trapping of blood flow to brain. I cannot get any Doctor to help me, no hospital will listen, they have lied to me about my scan results, and refused to help me at all. The Spinal foundation told me I also have Cauda Equina and that they should be operating immedietly, but when I go to hospital they do nothing.

The NHS refuse to operate on me, despite increasingly serious symptoms.

I have been lied to by all the Neurosurgeons I’ve seen, they all told me I didn’t have any nerve compression, didn’t have any Spinal Cord Compression, but I have gone to the Parliamentary & health Ombudsman to get the truth, and I do, I have- Stenosis. Compression of the Spinal Cord and Nerves.

I have faint-ness attacks, I don’t pass out but nearly do. I cannot carry anything much at all without it giving me dead hands and arms, even though I have had both Carpal Tunnels operated on to decompress them. I get electric shock-type pains down arms and legs, have severe pain in neck 24/7, muscles are tight, numbness in feet, bladder problems, life-threatening drops in blood pressure, blood pressure is different in my arms showing blood flow restriction, I cannot even hoover up any more as bending brings on agonising pain, neck gives me pain in centre of back too from muscle spasms, leaning forward is a problem to me, I get hot, flushed and cheeks go hot and red, it is blood flow restricted causing that I think? My arms and legs go weak, my legs sometimes give way.

Is spinal cord the same as spinal canal? Thanks.
