Hello: My EMG of a few yrs ago showed mild pinching in the ulnar nerve. I do have muscle wasting on the fleshy part of my hand. A dr today said that can also be from the neck.
I have had an increase of hands falling asleep at night on and off in both hands. (with the increase neck problems) I do still after surgery in the 90’s have carpal tunnel in both hands.
I do not have pain in my arm but used to have muscle spasms on top of my arm above the elbow.
I read about ulnar nerve entrapment on your website. Reading that pain can start and not stop — One orthopedic dr asked what I was doing about this and then the neurologist tells me it is mild. I am puzzled now if I do need to see someone to do something?? Is there some guideline as to what I should do?

The entrapment conditions can become worse after time. WIth muscle wasting, I do think you need to investigate this further. A new EMG/NCV test would be warranted. A consultation with an upper extremity surgeon should be considered.
