    Dr: Coreman:
I have had chronic and almost debilitating back and neck pain for almost two years. After every treatment option available-(chiropractic, physical therapy, steroid injections, medial branch block, RFAs, etc.)-I have seen four specialists with recommendations of ADRS, fusions, co-flex, and most recently was told nothing could be done for me and I would have to live with this almost debilitating pain. I’m frankly at my wit’s end. I’ve learned more by studying your web-site than by speaking in person with numerous local orthopaedic doctors and neurosurgeons.
The bottom line: I desperately need relief and am fortunate to have good insurance and own my own law-firm-so I have the resources to do what is needed for relief, if that is possible. This past week I booked to travel from Atlanta to Vail to be seen at your Clinic. I am meeting with your PA’s this Monday 4/27 for my neck and Tuesday 4/28 for my back. My understanding is that your schedule is booked for next week; thus, my examination with your PAs.
My question: Following my exam by your PA’s-(I have in hand both a recent cervical and lumbar MRI with the reports—I do not have current x-rays)-will you be able to consult with your PA’s and recommend a plan for me so that I can schedule surgery with you upon your first availability?-if you do in fact have a surgical plan for me? Will I be able to undergo any diagnostics, if needed, that may be recommended while there this upcoming week? I am trying to avoid travelling a second time to meet with you before a third visit for surgery if that is recommended by you? If that is what is necessary, of course I understand. I appreciate your response, and thank you again Dr. Coreman for providing an amazing resource here on your web-site and forum.
    Regards-
    Randy

My PAs are the best in the country in my opinion. We talk at length about every case. 95% of the time the diagnosis is straight-forward or comes down to two potential pain generators and a diagnostic block or two might be necessary. This can be accomplished either on the first visit where time is afforded for a block during your stay or immediately before the surgical visit.

Becky is the “quarterback” for the preparation prior to your visit. SInce you are traveling from out-of-town, she will make sure that the time is prepared for you. Call her if you have any questions.
