    Hello Mr. Coreman.

    Still not diagnosed with anything…
Had SSEP the other day. Testing in hands and in right foot was great but left foot gave unspecified results…

Neurologist said that the result of the test is of no importance since SSEP showed no issues in hands.

If my symptoms were related to cervical myelopathy would SSEP show abnormalities in the hands also ?

    Thank you!

SSEPs are generally peripheral nerve tests. Myelopathy is a central nervous system disorder. EMG/NCV/SSEP tests generally will not help to identify a central nervous system disorder. The history and physical examination along with imaging and laboratory tests are the standards to identify central nervous system disorders.
